Grove Collaborative Multi-Surface Refill Review
Concentrated refill cartridges that turn into a multi-surface spray.
Grove Collaborative Multi-Surface Refill is the subscription-era take on the concentrate: plant-powered concentrate cartridges that turn a reusable Grove forever bottle into a multi-surface spray. It's the same plastic-cutting logic as tablets, delivered as a low-plastic delivery you can re-order with the groceries.
This assessment is research-based from manufacturer information and owner feedback; our team has not lab-tested this unit.
Households that already shop subscriptions and want their cleaning re-ordered too, plus anyone who tried bottled eco cleaners and found too much waste.
Key features we assessed

- Plant-powered formula cuts grease and grime
- Grove's forever-bottle refill system
- Low-plastic shipping every refill
- Scented and fragrance-free lines
- Whole-home hard-surface coverage
Strengths
Aligned with an existing habit — if you already subscribe, the cleaning arrives with it. The cartridge formula is concentrated and genuinely effective on typical mess; fragment-wise it covers the whole home from one system.
Weaknesses
Locked into Grove bottles and refills, and the subscription rhythm needs the discipline to actually re-order. As with tablets, it's a general cleaner not a specialist.
Value
Refills are priced per cartridge against bottled sprays — the plastic saving and convenience justify the small premium.

Frequently asked questions
Does Grove's refill system need its own bottle?
Yes — the cartridge system is built around Grove's reusable forever bottles and pumps, so first purchase is a kit.
Is the formula strong enough for real mess?
It's the usual all-purpose honest trade — effective on day-to-day grease and grime, not a heavy-duty degreaser.
How does the subscription work?
Refill cartridges arrive per cadence — cancellable and adjustable, priced low against bottled soaps.
